Fire Station 86 Interior Remodel
Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be accepted at the Nevada County Consolidated Fire District (NCCFD) Administrative Office, 640 Coyote Street, Nevada City, CA 95959, until January 23, 2025, no later than 3:00 pm. At said place and time, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been properly submitted will be publicly opened and read aloud. All interested parties are invited to attend. NCCFD reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Bids received after said time will not be accepted and will be returned unopened.
NCCFD is requesting sealed bids for interior remodel per plans at Fire Station 86, located at 12337 Banner Lava Cap Road Nevada City, CA 95959. Project includes interior remodel. Project to be completed no later than 210 days from acceptance of bid (weather permitting). Scope of the project will include demolition of current building required to complete work. Haul away all demolition material to approved refuse facility. Following approved plans supply all building materials to complete project. All dry rot repair will require change order. All work will meet current standards set forth by the Nevada County Building Department. (See Nevada county Approved plans on NCC Fire website)
All contractors must bid project at proper prevailing wage rate for craft of work being performed. Contractor is required to supply all documents and delivery of certified payroll(s) upon completion of project prior to Nevada County Consolidated Fire District release of payment. Bids must be for all of the work herein. A direct contractor that is awarded a public works contract involving an expenditure in excess of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) shall, before commencement of work, give a payment and performance bond to and approved by the district. Contractor will be required to possess the appropriate contractor license at the time bids are opened. Successful bidder shall be required to provide proof of insurance.
- No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].
- No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
- This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.
- All interested parties must attend a mandatory job walk to be eligible to bid on the project. Date of job walk: Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.
- All questions must be received by December 9, 2024 by 4:00 p.m. and answers will be posted to the website by December 16, 2024 no later than 4:00 p.m.
